Preparation checklist

1. Identify the chemical inventory, dosing equipment, wet wells and credible release sources.
2. Distinguish ambient personnel exposure from wet or condensing process-stream measurement.
3. Record enclosure, ventilation, occupancy, corrosion, water ingress and safe sensor access.
4. Define the monitoring objective, gas-specific range and information still missing.
5. Record local alarm, ventilation, isolation and PLC/SCADA interfaces; identify the response owner.
6. Agree commissioning checks, sensor testing, calibration method and maintenance records.
